Little Man's First Birthday!

Today was Little Man's 1st Birthday!
We took him to the park for his party so we could do his birthday
photo shoot outside.  Little Man loves Cookie Monster so we themed
his whole party with the Big Blue Guy.

At first he did not want to sit and open his presents
but wanted to crawl all over the park and see the trees.

When he figured out there were toys inside the wrapped presents
he eagerly tore off the wrapping paper.

He got so many Cookie Monster's! Cookie Monster's to cuddle, Cookie Monster's that giggle and a Cookie Monster that eat cookies!

His favorite toy was not even a Cookie Monster but a dinosaur flashlight that roared and after he opened it, it was never out of his sight!

I made a Cookie Monster cake and was thrilled that it turned out so well!

Keith loved Cookie's mouth full of cookies!

Quite by accident, one of his Cookie Monster's
was sitting in the background of his cake shots.  I think it is was so cute!

Sharing his cookies with Poppa!

He ate the cookies and cake with his hands
and at the last decided he wanted a spoon!

We knew he was through when he noticed his hands were dirty!

We truly thank God for blessing us with Keith and we are praying
that in the next year we have even more fun and laughs
as we watch him grow and learn and we continue to tell him
about the One who loves him more than anything.

Time for a Manicure

It seems this has been a week full of cleaning.  Cleaning at the church, at my house and helping others.  After having my nails in water and cleaner for so long, my nails were looking ragged and were in dire need of some care.

I went on Pinterest and found this neat idea to make
perfect dots by simply putting a pin in an eraser!

I love how they turned out!
Of course after I did my nails I remembered I am painting my Bible Adventure wall tomorrow so they will not stay looking nice for long!

SURPRISE!!!

Today was my sweet, wonderful husband's 40th birthday!

His birthday has not been the best the last few years as my dad died
on his birthday three years ago and two years ago I had to go to Idaho to settle my dad's estate.  I wanted to do something special for his 40th birthday so I planned a special surprise birthday party
with all our church family and surprised he was!

One of ladies made this beautiful cake
and everyone else brought lots of food!

Everyone knows that Pastor Chep's favorite food is watermelon and thus we bowls and bowls of watermelon which were all gone by the end of the night!

We had such a good time talking and laughing and my husband
said he felt so special as everyone gave him cards telling him
how much they love and appreciate him.

At the end of the night my husband gave me a huge hug and kiss and thanked me for a making his birthday so special.
Happy Birthday Honey, I love you!

Little Man and VBS

Little Man was so excited to be a part of VBS this year.
I really think he just loved all the attention and cookies he got!

Singing VBS songs with Momma.

Listening to Amma narrate the Missionary Story. (This is my favorite picture!)

Taking a cookie break.

Playing with the Missionary props.

Eating Cheetos with the teens.

Eating more cookies!

Playing frisbee with the teens.

Walking and talking with all the kids.  He got so much attention this week and was constantly being passed between all the kids.

Singing VBS songs with Poppa.

Helping Daddy fill water ballons for the teen water fight.

Taking a nap during verse time.

Momma got smart and knew someone would feed him a chocolate cookie and put a bib on him to keep him clean.

Helping make the kids award certificates.

Look at my sticker!  (He tried to eat it a short time later!)

Miss Mary even made him a award with stamps for everytime he gave us that adorable smile!

After Packing Up VBS........

It is a tradition, after the VBS Award Ceremony we pack all the VBS stuff
and while the guys finish loading it all in the truck we girls head to get food.

A couple of burgers, fries and icee's make everyone very happy!

The food did not last long as it had been such a long and busy day
for us. After food it was time for the games to begin!

We started with Balderdash and a couple of times I thought we were going to lose someone from laughing so hard!

Just ask Chandler why it's illegal to ride an ostrich past the capitol and he will laugh so hard and thus make us laugh even harder!

We had told Nathan all night that we were not going to play Dutch Blitz
with him this year because of popping veins and other
frightening things that happened last year.  We did give in
and played a few hands but this time we let him win the first hand!

This years new favorite game was Liars Dice.  It was a blast!

Of course I was dying, absolutely dying of laughter
because we switched the board on Mary and she didn't even notice.

She had no idea why we were all laughing but because
we were laughing so hard, she couldn't stop from laughing so hard either!  It wasn't til after three this morning that we decided we were exhausted
and needed to head to bed.

VBS is definitely one of the biggest highlights of our year,
sharing the gospel with all the kids and having such awesome fellowship
and fun with our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Looking forward to doing it again next year!

It's Over!

This week has been so busy and has gone so fast that I can't believe
it's over already!  We had 64 kids and 31 teens throughout
the week for a total of 95!  It was really an amazing week
with 5 teens and several kids getting saved!

Last Night the teens VBS ended with a huge water fight and cookout.
I am always thankful every year for Valorie cooking
for the mob of teens and helpers!

I tried to get a picture with all the teens after the water fight but they were scattered all over and would not hold still!

This week it was so fun seeing the kids dressed up for Jungle day
and Military dress up day.

The kids heard the rest of the missionary story today which was so exciting with bombs, and prison camps and men giving their lives for freedom.

The kids worked so hard on memorizing verses so they earn Bible Bucks.

All the memorizing was worth it when they got HUGE
ice cream sundaes topped with everything!

Tonight's program and Award ceremony was fantastic
with over 44 kids and their parents!

The kids did great quoting their memory verses and singing their songs.

Everyone got a certificate for the great work
they did coming and memorizing.

JJ and Warren said the most verses all week!

And Andrew brought the most visitors!

At the end of the night we packed up everything and packed it for the evangelists to leave tomorrow.  I am so sad this week is over but also I am so looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow!
